In Year 6 this week, we will be:- Assessing for progression
- Adding numbers with up to 4 digits, using the formal column method
- Subtracting numbers with up to 4 digits, using the formal column method
- Using the inverse operation to check answers and solve missing number problems
Literacy
In Year 5 this week, we will be revising:- The function of word classes;
- Types of conjunctions;
- How and when to use fronted adverbials;
- Using relative clauses effectively; and
- Have an opportunity for independent writing.
Maths
In Year 5 this week, we will be revising:- Reading, writing, ordering and comparing numbers up to 10,000;
- Partitioning numbers up to 10,000;
- Roman Numerals up to 100;
- Comparing and ordering negative numbers; and
- Rounding numbers to the nearest 100 and 1000.
