In Year 5 this week, we will be learning:

how to develop detailed characters and settings
to develop writing techniques to engage an audience
how to write an engaging ending for a fictional chapter

Maths

In Year 5 this week, we will be learning:

how to calculate the perimeter and area of rectangles and composite shapes
how to find missing measurements of shape sides
how to calculate volume

to calculate intervals of time, with particular focus on the 24 hour clock
to read and understand time tables
